Ragnarok M: Eternal Love - Leveling Spots Level 1 to 105

An essential part of Ragnarok M: Eternal Love is to gain levels as fast as possible in order to be powerful enough to take down any monsters, MVP or foes in PVP. That being said, should you aim to level as fast as possible to max base level? That is not necessarily the case. There are level gaps between monsters and yourself which will lower the drop rate of items (which can be sold on the Exchange). Leveling your base level too quickly may not allow you to farm efficiently.
Job level and farming should be what you need to focus on instead of leveling your base level too quickly. We will list out the best leveling spots for each level range as well as the best monsters to grind and their locations. This guide only lists the best leveling spots to gain levels quickly in a particular level range and it does not mean that the spots are the best spots for farming.

Level 1 – 10

At this point, you do not really need to kill any monsters. Just complete the main quests in Prontera South Gate and you will reach Job Level 10 for your job change quest in no time.

Level 10 – 20

After your first job change, you can continue the main story quests as they still give you pretty good experience or you can skip the quests and go straight to grinding on Wormtails, Rockers or Willows.

Wormtails have the highest EXP to HP ratio in game and will really boost your leveling (if you manage to land hits on them) but they have relatively high flee for a Level 17 monster. If you are missing Wormtails quite a bit then either raise your Dex or grind Rockers and Willows and come back to Wormtails later. (Tip: Another way to hit Wormtails is to buy a Thief Bug Card on the Exchange and deposit it in your Adventurer Handbook – The deposit bonus of the card reduces flee of nearby monsters by 50!)
It is recommended to get a Mentor at Level 10 onward as you will get additional base and job experience for completing daily/weekly quests.
Mission Board quests will be unlocked at Level 15. The Mission Board is an important source of gaining lots of base and job experience so be sure to complete all 10 daily.

Level 20 – 30

At levels 20 – 30, Wormtails will be your main grinding target as they still provide the best EXP to HP ratio. The amount of experience you gain is still pretty decent compared with other mobs even with level gap penalties (Base Level 28 onwards).

At Level 22, you will unlock Monster Resistance quests which is a great experience booster. They give 10x experience rate for a limited amount of experience depending on your base level. Be sure to complete the 2 Monster Resistance quests daily.

Level 30 – 40

At levels 30 – 40, you should already have most of your essential skills for your first job. You should also be saving up for a decent crafted weapon. You will now be able to rely on your skills instead of just auto attacks to deal damage. You can move on to Thara Frogs, Goblins and Steam Goblins.

All the mobs above also have decent drops and especially so for their cards (Pray for RNGsus!). Steam Goblins also drop Coal which sells well on the Exchange as it is a common material required for many equipment upgrades.
At Level 30, you can unlock Pet Adventure where you can send your pets on adventures. Pet adventures allow you to gain chests which may contain boss drop materials as well as base and job experience without having to grind! This is especially useful if you do not have the time to grind. (Tip: Save up your job potions for your 3rd job class!)

Level 40 – 50

At levels 40 – 50, you should be ready for your 2nd job change. You will acquire new 2nd job skills which would allow you to grind more efficiently.
You can continue grinding at Hornets or Steam Goblins until the level gap penalty sets in, or you can move to Menblatts. Ants and Giearth in Ant Hell are also good alternatives.

Once you reach Level 40, the first thing you should do is join a Guild and get the Aesir Monument. The Aesir Monument contains powerful skill and stat runes which can be activated by Guild Contributions and Gold Medals.
At Level 45, you can start sending your Pets to Pet Labor where you can get various items including Base and Job Exp Potions. Using these potions allow you to gain base and job experience instantly!

Level 50 – 60

At levels 50 – 60, the main map you should be going to is North Prontera. Dustiness, Metaller and Mantis are all monsters which have very high HP to EXP ratios. They also drop materials which sell like hotcakes on the Exchange at decent prices. I personally rotate farming spots and Dustiness was still on my list until Level 92!
However, do take note that North Prontera is usually very crowded and ranged classes will have an advantage over melee classes. Since monsters like Dustiness and Metaller have relatively low HP, it is very easy to one-shot these monsters for ranged classes leaving melee classes running around without having any kills. You can always switch to a less crowded channel if the map gets too crowded for your liking.

Level 60 – 70

At levels 60 – 70, you can continue to grind at Prontera North as the mobs still give very decent experience and drops even after the level gap penalty sets in. Or you can head to Payon Cave. Eggyras, Munaks and Bonguns also give pretty decent EXP. All 3 mobs spawn relatively quickly and in groups of 3’s. You are able to dominate a spot and grind efficiently if you can kill the mobs quick enough. Wizards should aim to one-shot Eggyras (Full Guide: How to one-shot Eggyras).
Payon Forest is another good grinding map. Horongs and Greatest Generals give decent EXP and both drops Mercury which is another good material to sell on the Exchange as it is required for equipment upgrades.

Some people recommend Minorous but that is if you are feeling lucky to get a Minorous Card as it costs more than 10 million on the Exchange. Besides that, there is really no benefit hunting Minorous as many other mobs give better EXP to HP ratio.

Level 70 – 80

Once you hit levels 70 – 80, levelling will start to get slower. That’s just the nature of all MMO’s as your levels get higher. Prontera North is still a good map to grind even with the level gap penalties. You can still continue grinding on mobs that are in the level 60 – 70 range and subsequently move on to higher level mobs. At this point, I would personally prioritize Job EXP and farming for materials over gaining base levels.
Orc Warriors and Archers are easiest to kill as they have low HP at their levels. Next are Petites, just slot 2x Green Petite Cards in your weapon and you are all good to go! Kobolds are good targets as well as they spawn quickly in groups of 3’s. I personally go for Kobold (Hammer) and Kobold Archers as they drop materials that are easy to sell on the Exchange.

At this level range, most people would be able to upgrade to their 3rd job class. Remember the part where we mentioned to save up job potions? This is the time to use them! Using job potions at after your 3rd job class change will allow you to increase your job levels instantly and unlock essential 3rd job class skills immediately after upgrading.

Level 80 – 90

At levels 80 – 90 you can move on to Glast Heim Culvert. The 2 most popular mobs are Stings and Anolians since both of them spawns quickly in groups of 3’s. You will see plenty of High Wizards and Whitesmiths dominating farming spots since they have AOE skills which enable them to farm really well. If you find the culvert too crowded, you can also go to Glast Heim Churchyard for Dark Priests or straight to Clock Tower for Punks.

Level 90 – 100+

At level 90 onward you can choose to level at Clock Tower or move to Toy Factory. It may be slightly easier to level at Clock Tower since you can still use elemental converters against the monsters. At Toy Factory most of the mobs are Neutral element so converters do not work on them.

Conclusion

That pretty much sums up the leveling spots guide. Remember that the game is not all about leveling as a well-equipped character with a lower level can do far better than a poorly equipped character with a higher level! At higher levels, farming for materials to upgrade and buy good gears should be prioritized over gaining levels too quickly.
