Welcome to Ragnarok Tactics beginner’s guide on how to be stronger in Ragnarok Tactics. Here are some tips and tricks on how to progress further into the game, obtaining more Zeny + Monster Spirits and increase your team’s overall CP.
Do the Adventure first
Once you finish with the tutorial, do the Adventure stages as far as you can. The further you progress, the more offline rewards that you will obtain. Each stage cleared will be rewarded with EXP, Zeny, Talent Fruits, Monster Spirits and other items. Offline rewards can be received for up to 12 hours maximum which you can tap the chest at the top right to collect your offline rewards. We would recommend collecting your offline rewards once every few hours to obtain lots of EXP, Zeny, Talent Fruits, Monster Spirits and equipment. More features will be unlocked upon reaching a certain level.
There is also an item boost (Tap the Boost potion icon at the top right) which instantly gains 2 hours of adventure rewards. Be sure to use the free boost daily for additional resources. Potions or GP (Not recommend) can also be used to activate the item boost.
Formation and Resonance
You can challenge a stage by tapping the ‘Challenge’ button at the bottom right to open the team’s formation. This is where you can set up your monsters before the battle. You can only bring up to 5 monsters in a stage. Take note that monsters that are placed in the front-line will most likely take damage from enemies first.
So be sure to place your melee monsters at the front-line while your ranged monsters at the back. You can also tap the Resonance button to find out both the Faction Boost and Element Aura bonuses (It can be found in the main menu as well). Basically, placing certain monsters (Faction and Element) that fit the requirements will grant additional stat boosts to your team.
During the battle, you can automate the casting of your monster’s skills by tapping the ‘Auto’ or speed up the battle by tapping the ‘2x’ button. Once all stages of each Chapter is completed, you can tap ‘Next Chapter’ to proceed.
Monster Faction and Job
Each monster has its own Faction (Menu->Monster->Select a monster). Each faction has its own faction rivalry against a certain faction which deals more damage and take less damage.
- Rock (Blue) – Strong against Scissors faction
- Scissors (Green) – Strong against Paper faction
- Paper (Red) – Strong against Rock faction
- White Paper (White) and Black Paper (Black) – Strong against each other
Each monster also has its own job (Prime and Sub). Some are mainly for dealing damage while others support your monsters by healing or buffs.
- Damage – Mainly deals damage either Magic or Physical.
- Control – Can cast AOE (Area Of Effect) spells which can deal damage to multiple enemies.
- Heal – Support monsters with healing.
- Positive Effect – Grants monsters with buffs which increases ATK and DEF.
- Negative Effect – Debuffs enemies with negative stat effects.
- Tank – Usually have high HP and DEF which can absorb a lot of damage from enemies.
To check each monster’s job, go to Menu->Monster->Select a monster->Tap the icons below the monster.
How to obtain more Monsters
There are a ton of ways to obtain Monsters, mainly the A-S Rank ones.
- Hatch Lab – This is where you can use GP or Summon Tickets for A-S Rank monsters with a chance of a SS monster. We suggest saving your GP until you have 2500 GP or 10 Summon Tickets. This is where you can summon 10 Times for a guaranteed S rank monster.
- 7 Days Goal Event – This is where you have to complete all objectives for monster shards to summon ‘Turtle General’ (SS Rank).
- Events
- Supreme Card
- God Beast Strike
- Monster Store (Menu->Store->Monster)
Monster shards can also be used to summon monsters from your Bag (Bag->Tap the puzzle piece icon->Tap the icon with the ‘!’->Synthesize).
Rerolling
If you prefer getting the best SS Rank monsters earlier on in the game, then it is best to perform rerolling.
- Level 3 of your monsters to level 20 or 40.
- Go to the ‘7 Days Goal’ and then collect the rewards containing summon tickets.
- Move to ‘Hatch Lab’ and use all your summon tickets.
- If you do not have any SS Rank monsters, reroll by exiting the app and then change to a different server. Then follow the same process again until you have obtained an SS Rank monster.
Be sure to not bind your account (Use Guest Account) first while doing this. Once you have already obtained the monsters that you want, bind your account (Facebook, Google Play, etc) to avoid losing any progress.

We suggest filling up your friend list as many as you can. To add people to your friend list, go to ‘Friends’ from the main menu, go to ‘Add’ or ‘Request’ and add/accept as many friends as you can.
